Regretting You is the latest adaption by Colleen Hoover, a coming of age, sliding doors movie.

Morgan Grant (Allison Williams) has it all, a nice home she shares with her childhood sweetheart Chris (Scott Eastwood), who became a loving husband and her teenage daughter Clara (Mckenna Grace).
One of her best school friends Jonah Sullivan (Dave Franco) remains in her life having married and just had a baby boy with her sister Jenny Davidson (Willa Fitzgerald). Life is good, even if her daughter is exhibiting the usual moody teen traits.
When a car accident kills both her husband and sister, Morgan’s life falls apart.
How will she cope, especially when her daughter seems hellbent on ruining her own life by hooking up with Millar Adams (Mason Thames), the hottest guy at school.
As the crowd moved out I pondered:
- Thames is the standout in this movie. Having started acting at a young age I can see him doing very well. It’ll be interesting to see what he does next;
- It’s hard to watch Scott Eastwood without thinking of his father;
- I also got distracted by Dave Franco’s similarity to his brother James;
- This coming-of-age, sliding doors movie could work well for a late-teens sleepover, though I’m not sure all mums would approve.
